About This Project

These poster designs use a lot of photo manipulation but in very different ways. I used free stock imagery to create poster designs that experimented with blend effects on faces, 3D depth map effects, and colour.

Sunflower War Paint

This was actually a poster design I did after the roses poster (below) in an attempt to make a ‘flower series’ of posters that looked similar. Although, after a bit of time working with the imagery, it was clear this design was going another route. I love how bright the colours turned out, and how subtle the text is on the face. The speed design is here on YouTube.

Roses

The inspiration for this image was just finding an image of roses I really liked. Then I combined it with a photo using 3D tools to get a unique look. I love how this poster design turned out. You can check out the speed art on YouTube here.

Faceless

My inspiration for this poster design was simply Halloween. I wanted to do a design that was purely creepy for the sake of being creepy. I think this accomplished that. You can watch the speed art here.

New York

I wasn’t sure where this design was going when I started it. I loved the effect that the 3D tools had on the street image, but wasn’t sure where to go after that. However, the effect reminded me of New York City, so the design evolved from there. Check out the speed art here.
